FAQs
What should I wear to BioLIT?
Comfortable, breathable clothing is best for your visit. For red light therapy, we suggest wearing nothing for maximum skin and body exposure, although some guests choose to wear a swimsuit or undergarments. You're welcome to undress to your comfort level — your privacy is always respected.
If you're planning to enjoy the infrared sauna and cold plunge, we recommend bringing a bathing suit or minimal activewear (like sports bras and shorts). This allows for easy transitions between hot and cold therapies. We provide robes, towels, slippers, and a beautiful locker room with showers and amenities for your convenience.
Can I wear skin lotion, sunscreens or makeup in the Red Light Therapy Bed?
For optimal results, we recommend starting with clean, product-free skin. Avoid wearing makeup, sunscreen, body lotions, or oils prior to your session, as they can block or reduce light absorption.
Please also avoid using any products containing retinol, alpha or beta hydroxy acids (AHA/BHA), benzoyl peroxide, or other photosensitizing ingredients for at least 24 hours before your session.
We provide natural cleansing wipes at the spa for your convenience, and showers are available in the locker rooms if you've applied products to your full body.
If you are taking any medications that may increase photosensitivity or have concerns about skin or medical conditions, we recommend consulting your physician prior to treatment.
What is Bio-optimization?
Bio-optimization is the art and science of optimizing your body, mind, and energy using natural and technology-driven therapies. At BioLIT Spa, it means supporting your body’s innate ability to heal, recover, and thrive — physically, mentally, and energetically.
Rather than waiting for illness, bio-optimization focuses on enhancing performance, boosting vitality, and promoting resilience. Through tools like red light therapy, infrared sauna, cold plunge contrast therapy, sound therapy, and the BioCharger NG, we help you feel your best — every day.
It’s not about extremes or biohacking gimmicks — it’s about tuning into your body, nourishing it with intentional care, and activating your natural potential.
May I tip spa staff?
Tipping is always appreciated but never required. Our team is here to provide exceptional care, and if someone goes above and beyond, you’re welcome to show your appreciation
Is BioLIT Spa co-ed?
Yes, BioLIT Spa is a co-ed facility. Our LITlounge, Contrast Room, and BioCharger sessions are shared spaces. Our Red Light Therapy room is private. Robes are provided for modesty, and clothing is NOT OPTIONAL. We also provide separate men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers for your comfort and convenience.
Do I need to bring anything?
We’ve got you covered. Not only do we provide towels, robes, slippers, infused purified water, essential oil-infused air, and a beautiful environment to support your journey, we have some things to help you get ready for your next plans like hairdryers, straightening irons, brushes, combs, lotion, deodorant, toothbrushes, feminine products, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. If you’re doing a cold plunge or sauna, you may want to bring a swimsuit! And if you have your own special self care products of course bring those! We have lockers to store all of your personal items.
How long should I plan to stay?
Enjoying a Day Pass? We recommend setting aside 60 to 90 minutes to experience our core services: red light therapy, sound therapy, contrast room, and BioCharger. You're also welcome to stay longer and unwind in the LITlounge or enjoy something from the LITcafe. Only got 15 mins? Pop in or book an appointment for a quick session in our Red Light Therapy Bed. It doesn’t have to be too much of a commitment every time!
Do you offer massage therapy?
Yes! Our licensed massage therapists offer therapeutic and relaxing treatments. Massages can be booked individually and are not included in monthly memberships. Be sure to reserve your spot early as they fill up quickly.
Do I need an appointment?
We recommend booking appointments for massage services and movement classes. For our core bio-optimization services (red light, sauna, cold plunge, sound therapy, BioCharger) If you are time flexible, dropping in is always welcome during operating hours and we will do our best to accommodate — no appointment needed! If you’re in a time crunch, we recommend booking a specific time slot even for core services.
